Up for grabs is a Rolex Submariner Date in steel
1680 reference
2.10 serial number circa early 1969 and correct for MK1 Meters First Red dial. This could also maybe work for MK2 Meters First
Excellent vintage condition case with strong lugs. No dings or dents. No corrosion or pitting. Serial and reference numbers are fully intact and clearly visible.
Dial is a service replacement Luminova along with hands and bezel insert and date-disk.
Caseback is original, stamped 1680 and II.69
Bracelet is newer Rolex 93150 with 11 links, 501B ends, moderate stretch from use, crisp coronet on clasp and diver’s extension. S11 date on clasp.
A running and wearable “project” while looking for a period correct dial or less expensive alternative to a birth-year watch but still with genuine Rolex parts.
