Up for grabs is a Rolex Submariner Date

3.06 mil serial number circa 1971 production
Excellent vintage condition case with super thick lugs and crown guards. You can clearly see original chamfers and sharp pin-hole edges. Serial and reference numbers are very crisp and fully intact. No corrosion or pitting.
Dial is original Mark V Red with nice cream patina on tritium plots. Original tritium hands are matching to the dial. Original date disk with open 6’s and 9’s. No corrosion, spotting, bubbling, drag marks on dial. Please note there is a chip on bottom of dial under SWISS. Very hard to see in person, but shows up in macro pictures. Any other apparent marks you see are on crystal, not dial.
Super fat font insert shows some signs of wear and has faded to a dark gray hue.
Caseback is original, stamped 1680 and III.71 inside.
Bracelet is original Rolex 9315 folded link with 12 links, 380 ends, misspelled and correct PATETED extension, no date code on clasp as expected.
No box or papers. No documented service history. Watch runs and winds well.
