SOLD 1973 Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch 145.022 Step Dial, Ghost Bezel

Up for grabs is an Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch

145.022-71 reference

328559XX serial number circa about 1973 production. The caseback is correctly stamped -71 as the next series of caseback doesn’t come in until -74 stamps. 

Excellent vintage condition case with no corrosion or pitting or major dings/dents. Sharp and clearly defined lugs and edges. No corrosion or pitting. 

Dial is original, step, in excellent vintage condition. Nice patina on the dial and hands appear original and tritium. 

Bezel is in excellent vintage condition with grayish hue fading aka “ghost”.

Crystal is original, hesalite Omega with logo in center. There are many light scuffs from age and use, but no crack or deep scratches. 

Caseback is original, stamped 145.022-71 inside with crisp outer engraving.

Watch runs and winds smoothly. Chrono runs, stops, and resets back to zero as should. No documented service history. No box or papers.

Watch comes on vintage leather strap with steel buckle.
