SOLD 1978 Rolex Oysterquartz 17013 Early Non-SCOC Blue Dial

Up for grabs is a Rolex Oysterquartz 

17013 reference in steel and 14kt yellow gold

5.4 mil serial number, early production with OYSTERQUARTZ only on the dial. 

Excellent vintage condition case and bracelet shows signs of wear and use, but the original bevels still remain visible. Serial and reference numbers are fully intact and clearly visible. The dial has faded to an attractive grayish tone when seen in sun. 

Dial is original, non-luminous and early execution without SCOC print. Original date disk with open 6’s and 9’s. 

Caseback is original, correctly stamped 17010 inside. 

Correct and original early execution 5035 movement is fully operational, keeps good time. 

Bracelet’s clasp is correctly stamped with VC date code. 

No box or papers. No documented service history, though the caseback contains a watchmaker’s mark dated in 2014 when an assumer service took place.
