Up for grabs is a Rolex DateJust in steel and 14kt yellow gold
16253 reference, quickset date, acrylic crystal turn-o-graph or “Thunderbird” with rotating bezel.
6.1 mil serial number circa 1979 production
Excellent vintage condition case without any dings or dents. Thick and even and defined lugs. No corrosion or pitting. Serial and reference numbers are fully intact and clearly visible.
Dial is original, flawless with very attractive orange patina on plots and original tritium hands. All the plots are fully intact. Double signed with Tiffany & Co. original print. Original date disk with open 6’s and 9’s.
Bezel is in excellent and sharp condition.
Bracelet is original Rolex 62523 in steel and 14kt yellow gold. Fits a large wrist about 8″. Correct 455 J end-links, period correct F1 date code on clasp. Moderate stretch from use.
No box or papers. No documented service history.
