Up for grabs is a Rolex Submariner Date in steel
16800 reference transitional model with sapphire crystal
7.3 mil serial number circa 1982 production
Excellent vintage condition case with no dings or dents. Case has been polished before, but lugs are thick and even as are the crown guards. Serial and reference numbers are fully intact and visible. No corrosion or pitting.
Dial is excellent, tritium with creamy/yellow patina that is even with matching tritium hands. No spotting, chipping, bubbling, or other damage on dial. Hands show light, typical corrosion. Date disk is correct with open 6’s and 9’s. Crystal is clean and scratch free.
Bezel insert is original with heavily patina’s tritium pearl.
Bracelet is a Rolex Oyster fliplock 93150 with 10 links, diver’s extension, 593 ends. Shows light wear from use, but still tight as seen in pics.
No box or papers. No documented service history. Currently runs within COSC at about -4 seconds a day with great amplitude. No service is currently required.
