SOLD 1986 Rolex Transitional Submariner “Triple 0” 168000

Up for grabs is a Rolex Submariner Date

168000 reference “Triple 0” 

9.3 mil serial number circa 1986

Excellent vintage condition case that has previously been polished. No corrosion or pitting. Serial and reference numbers are clearly intact. 

Dial is excellent, tritium, with nice creamy patina. Hands are original, shows some corrosion, color matched to the dial. Correct date disk with open 6’s and 9’s. Sapphire crystal is clean and free of chips or scratches. 

Bezel insert has aged to a gray/blue hue with original tritium pearl. 

Bracelet is original, Rolex 93150 with K date code, 11 links and 593 ends. Shows some stretch from wear. 

No boxes or papers. No documented service history. Watch currently runs at COSC with great amplitude indicating signs of recent service. 

Watch has just had its gaskets replaced and pressure tested.
