Voutilainen Vingt-8 “Edition Goodwill” w/ Black Lacquer Dial, White Gold

Up for grabs is a Voutilainen Vingt-8 “Edition Goodwill” in white gold.

Produced in 2016, this is a possibly unique execution of the Vingt-8, featuring a black lacquer dial with applied baton hour markers, an unusual red “V” at 12 o’clock, and matching red accents on the small seconds track. Rose gold and blued steel hands complement the frosted rose gold movement beautifully.

The 39mm white gold case is engraved “Edition Goodwill” on the caseback, a series created for a mainland Chinese retailer called “Goodwill Trading Company”. As is often the case with these watches, each known example appears to have been individually configured. For example, the “Edition Goodwill” Vingt-8 sold by Phillips in June 2025 featured a blue guilloché dial rather than the lacquer dial found here.

Powering the watch is Kari Voutilainen’s in-house manually wound Calibre 28 with a direct-impulse dual-wheel escapement, oversized balance wheel, Breguet overcoil, and Grossmann curve hairspring. This is an early version of the movement, identifiable by its separate bridge construction, a design that Kari later revised.

The watch is fitted on a leather strap with the original 18k white gold Voutilainen pin buckle and is accompanied by an additional original black Kari Voutilainen strap.
