1973 Rolex Submariner ref. 1680 red MK6 Dial, Vivid Yellow Patina

Up for grabs is a Rolex Submariner Date

3.79 mil serial number circa 1973, nearing the end of production for red Submariner dials.

Excellent vintage condition case with thick lugs and crown guards. There is some pitting between the lugs at 6 o’clock side, but serial number is fully visible.

Dial is original MK6 with very vivid yellow patina. Hands are original and matching. The minute hand has a tiny pin hole of missing lume. No relume, no refinish. Date disk with open 6’s and 9’s.

Bezel insert is original with nice fade from age, serif font.

Caseback is original, stamped 1680 inside.

Bracelet is a Rolex 93150 with 11 links, I date code, light stretch from use, diver’s extension, 580 ends.
