Up for grabs is an F.P. Journe Resonance
“RN” reference, which was the second generation of FPJ Resonance made between 2004 and 2010 and featuring Caliber 1499.2 movement in 18k red gold
Current example is an extremely early one, within the first 20 serial numbers with warranty card dated in 2004.
An extremely attractive combination of red gold with ‘salmon’ dial. The salmon dials from this era look more like an apricot color than ‘pink’. Also, since this is an earlier model, the watch still features a dial that shows shimmer finish.
This is a “transitional” model with Cal. 1499.2 movement. This movement was only made for about 1 year and aesthetically, the it remained almost the same as the brass version cal. 1499 except that the barrel bridge has been redesigned to integrate the ratchet wheels underneath the bridge. On the other hand, while Journe was developing the Chronometre Souverain (released in 2005), he developed a new ratchet/winding system that he found to be far more efficient due to less parts and thus less friction. Whilst the mechanism debuted with the Chonometre Souverain, Journe later decided to update his Resonance with this power reserve which ultimately lead to another caliber reference; 1499.3. This change was done sometime in 2006.
The watch is in excellent used condition without any dings or dents or deep scratches.
This watch comes on an unworn genuine FPJ strap with red gold FPJ buckle.
This watch comes with FPJ box set, original warranty card, manual, and service papers from 2021.
